  • Do you have something to make me fall asleep?

There are a few ways to ask for sleeping pills on a plane or in other situations. These examples will work on a plane, in a pharmacy, or even at a hotel lobby. If you ask "Do you have anything to help me sleep" or "I need something to help me fall asleep" you might be offered anything from sleeping pills, to a cocktail, to chamomile tea. It's a less definite way of asking for what you want, but they work in situations in which you are not sure whether they offer medication or not. If you say "Can I please have a sleep aid" or "Do you have any sleep aids" you will almost certainly be offered sleeping pills or other medication designed to make a person fall asleep quickly.
"Do you have anything to help me sleep"(何か眠りを助けてくれるものはありますか) または、 "I need something to help me fall asleep"(何か眠りを助けてくれるものが欲しいです) と聞くと、これは、睡眠薬からカクテル、カモミールティーまで、さまざまなものが対象になります。 "Can I please have a sleep aid"(睡眠薬をいただけますか) または、 "Do you have any sleep aids"(睡眠薬はありますか) と言えば、ほぼ間違いなく睡眠薬など眠りを助ける薬を紹介してもらえます。

  • I can't fall asleep. May I please have sleeping pills/tablets.

1) I have insomnia. May I please have sleeping pills/tablets.- Insomnia is a noun that means inability to sleep and it has become a habit. For example: "Anna was suffering from anxiety and insomnia". Therefore is more serious. However if you are can't sleep for that night then you can say "I can't sleep". Please note you can also say tablets to refer to pills.
"1) I have insomnia. May I please have sleeping pills/tablets. Anna was suffereing from anxiety and insomnia.

I can relate to your problem. When I find myself in this situation I politely try to explain my problem and what I need. Hence, I think the second option is better for your problem because it is a very polite and direct way to ask for help.

If you are struggling to sleep you might have a lot on your mind, you might be experiencing stress or anxiety. Sleeplessness is quite common and it can be serious. Sleeping pills usually help to fall asleep but they are not a good all time solution. Meds: short for medication "I need to fall asleep, I am so tired but I feel sleepless, do you have some sleeping pills I can take please?"
"I need to fall asleep, I am so tired but I feel sleepless, do you have some sleeping pills I can take please?"

In order to ask for some sleeping pills to help you sleep on the plane or elsewhere, you can ask: Are there any sleeping pills available? On many airlines, it may not be possible to ask a air hostess for sleeping pills but there may be some over the counter ones available before entering the plane. Can I have a sedative? A sedative is a drug that makes you sleepy. It is another word for sleeping pill in this instance. A polite way of asking is 'Can I have..?' May I have some sleeping pills? A more formal way of asking is: May I have...? I hope that helps!
Are there any sleeping pills available?(睡眠薬はありますか) 機内で乗客に睡眠薬を与えることを許可している航空会社は少ないかもしれません。 Can I have a sedative?(鎮静剤をいただけますか) 'sedative' は眠気を引き起こす薬です。 Can I have..?' May I have some sleeping pills?(睡眠薬をいただけますか) 'May I have...?'

I'm on sleep medication Do you have any sleeping pills

  • Do you dispense sleeping pills by any chance?

It seems unlikely that an airline employee would give sleeping pills to any passenger - but you could be lucky! Dispense = distribute or provide (a service or information) to a number of people. "Orderlies went round dispensing drinks" By any chance = possibly (used in tentative enquiries or suggestions). "Were you looking for me by any chance?"
Orderlies went round dispensing drinks" By any chance = ひょっとして "Were you looking for me by any chance?"

I think you'd need to arrange to buy this kind of medication from a pharmacy! (Before you board the plane:-) Anything "dispensed to help you sleep" is called "a mild sedative" and is usually an over-the-counter purchase; no prescription needed.I get nervous flying... I always need a sedative to relax me and help me sleep.
I get nervous flying... I always need a sedative to relax me and help me sleep.

"I don't think I can sleep, so" は「眠れない(と思う)ので」という意味です。英語で "I think" や "I don't think" をよく使います。 そして、do you by any chance have any sleeping pills? この場合、睡眠薬を頼みたいので、do you by any chance have any sleeping pills?

I cannot sleep. Do you have a sedative?' A 'sedative' is a medicine used when we need to relax. It comes from the word 'sedate' which is a verb meaning to calm. 'Do you have anything that might induce sleep?' To 'induce' means to cause, create or encourage. When we ask if there is anything available to induce sleep, we are asking if there is a pill available that might encourage us to get some rest.
I cannot sleep. Do you have a sedative?'(眠れません。 'Do you have anything that might induce sleep?'(何か眠りを助けるものはありますか) 'induce' は「引き起こす/生み出す/促す」という意味です。"Do you have anything that might induce sleep?"
