この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。 ーThis might not sound consistent, but ... 「これは矛盾していないように聞こえないかもしれないけど」＝「矛盾して聞こえるかもしれないけど」 ーThese two ideas might sound like they conflict with one another, but ... 「この2つのアイデアはお互いに矛盾しているように聞こえるかもしれないけど」 to conflict で「矛盾する」 ご参考まで！
