片付ける = to tidy (up); clean (up); square away あっという間に = in the blink of an eye; just like that 散らかる = to be messy 汚い = dirty No matter how much I tidy up, the room gets messy in the blink of an eye. どんなに片付けても、あっという間に散らかる。 Messy は dirty と違いますから、気をつけてください。Dirty ということは、汚い、汚れるという意味ですね。 私は子供の頃、tidy up と全く言いませんでした。両親は square away と言いました。Tidy up は US English ではないかも知れません。私は両親に、Square away your room before you play games (ゲームをやる前に、部屋を片付けて)と言われました。Tidy up を使いませんでした。
