Some xxx, others,,,,,という構文は良くでてくる比較的な構文です上記を用いると
「一部の人は休暇を多く取り、別の人はあまり取らないのは不公平だ」は
’It is not fair that some had( or took) many days off from work while others hadn't done so.'という文で表現できます。

some people ... but others didn't を使って表現できますね。
doesn't seem right で「不公平だ」と言うこともできますよ。
ーIt's not fair that some people were off work for so long while others didn't take much time off at all.
「一部の人は長い間休暇を取っている一方で、他の人はほとんど取っていないのは不公平だ。」
some people ... while others didn't を使っても言えます。
while は対比を表すことができ、「一方では・〜なのに対して」という意味です。
not fair で「不公平」とも言えますね。
