One of the columns is showing the correct answer one row up
なんとなく言いたいことは分かる気がしますがエクセルの用語に
例えて説明した方が分かりやすいかもしれません。
この場合の列は column を使うと良いと思います。
片方の列で one of the columns と言うと良いでしょう。
答えは正解の答えのことだと思うので correct answer と
言います。
一つ早めと言うのは一行上、一行早くと言った感じで
one row up と言うと良いです。
Row 以外にも line と言っても伝わると思います。

column（列）と row（行）、ahead（先に・早めに）を組み合わせることで、わかりやすく伝えることができます。
また、直感的に「片方の列が正解を1つ早く表示している」と伝えたい場合は One column shows the correct answer one step early.
one step early は「1歩早く・1つ手前で」
