関係ないですが手について書いてあるのでワンポイントレッスンです。
keep your hands to yourself - 手（拳）は自分側にもってて（握ってて）この英語はよく大人が子供にいう事です。That person might be in the wrong but keep your hands to yourself. あの人は間違ってるでも自分は手を出さないで。難しいですよね、間違ってると知っていてほおっておく事。でもそれが大人の対応の器が試される時なんですよね。
Put your hands out and try to feel your way around in the dark.
この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。
ーPut your hands out and try to feel your way around in the dark.
「暗闇では、手を前に出して手探りで進んで」
to feel one's way around で「手探りで行く」と言えます。
