いつもならばって英語でなんて言うの？

Normally at this time of year, this place is busy with tourists because of the Bon holiday (but this year the situation is different due to the pandemic). 「normally: 通常は」で、「いつもならば〜（だけど今年は違う）」という（）内の意味を暗に伝えるようにしてみました。 「busy: 忙しい」ですが、たくさんの人で賑わっているような状況を表現するときにも使えます。 上記の例文は「普通ならこの時期、御盆休みでこの場所は観光客で賑わっている（けど、今年はパンデミックのせいで状況が違っている）」となっています。（）内は一応蛇足として記載しておきました。 お盆については日本独特の物ですので、「Japanese people believe that the spirits of their ancestors come back to visit during the Bon holiday. Families usually visit their ancestors' graves during the Bon period.」（日本の人はお盆に先祖の魂が戻ってくると信じています。お盆の期間には、先祖の御墓参りをします。）などと付け加えてあげると親切ですね。 参考になれば幸いです。

いつもならば は would usually と表現すると良いと思います。 「この時期はいつもならばお盆で観光客で賑わうのに…やっぱりコロナの影響かな」 "It would usually be packed with tourists with the Bon Festival this season... guess the coronavirus is to blame"
