私は空港で荷物を調べられた、って英語でなんて言うの？

「私」を主語にすると
I was checked for my luggage at the airport.
I had my luggage checked at the airport.
が浮かぶのですが、調べられるのは荷物なので、やはり荷物を主語にすべきでしょうか？

I was checked ... と言うと「私」が調べられたことになるので
I had my luggage checked at the airport.
と言うと良いでしょう。
他にも次のように言えます。

ーMy suitcases were searched at the airport.
「空港でスーツケースを調べられた」
荷物を主語にして be searched を使っても言えます。

ーThe officials at the airport went through my bags.
「空港で職員が私のカバンをくまなく調べた」＝「空港職員にカバンを調べられた」
このように空港職員を主語にして言うこともできます。
