会議の時間変更の際 When/What time should we set a meeting? と聞くと打ち合わせの時間の確認ではなく「何時になったら設定するの？」と督促している事になりませんか？また5時に設定したい場合 Can we change the time to 5:00? と聞くと 5時からではなく、5時までのミーティングの意味になりますか？
勘違いさせない言い方を知りたいです。
What time should we have the meeting? Is 5:00 okay?
What time should we set the meeting? Is 5:00 okay?
は自然で通じます。
厳密に言うとWhat time should we start the meeting?やWhat time should we have the meeting? の方がいいと思います。setを使うとWhat time should we set the meeting to?になりますが、toなしで使う人が多いですね。
When should we set the meeting?やWhat time should we set the meeting?は何時になったら設定するの？と言う意味で理解される可能性は少々ありますが、
その表現の前の流れは、「新しいシステムでweb会議はまだ設定できないですね。みんなで設定しないといけないですけどね。明日設定できるようになるかなと思いますが、明日の何時にしましょうか？」みたいな珍しい場合でしか、打ち合わせの時間は何時にしましょうか？と言う意味で理解されます。
