前に調べたら〜って書いてあったからーしていたって英語でなんて言うの？

ご質問ありがとうございます。 この場合は、まず「前に調べたらマルタではトイレに紙を流せないって書いてあったから、ゴミ箱に捨てていた。」は英語「Previously when I checked, there was a paper in Malta that said that paper shouldn't be flushed down the toilet so I threw it in the trash can.」と言えます。 そして、「今はトイレに紙を流せると知っている状態です」は「Currently, the situation has changed and we are allowed to flush paper.」と言えます。 「A long time ago」とか、書いてないので、大過去を使いまくる表現ではないです。 ご参考になれば幸いです。
