Alcoholは一般的には複数形では使われません。ただ、化学などでアルコールの種類について話す場合は"alcohols"と複数形を使うことがあります。
"Lift my spirits"というフレーズはこの文脈で使って問題ありません。
一つだけ訂正する箇所がありました：
I'm not alcohol addiction ➔ I'm not an alcohol addict/addicted to alcohol.
