「英語の映画を見たが、少ししか聞き取れなかった」
to watch an English movie と言うと「洋画を見る（吹き替えかもしれない）」「英語で映画を見る」のどちらにもとれます。
could only catch a little bit of the movie で「映画の少ししか聞き取れなかった」
