Lasting = to continue in time: "The movie lasted about two hours."
"The deputy CEO's speech is expected to last at least an hour."
A day trip = a journey or excursion completed in one day.
"You can take a day trip to the Esk Valley any time during the month of August until December, when the trains service stops."
Excursion =a short journey or trip, especially one taken as a leisure activity, trip, outing, jaunt, expedition, journey, tour;
"An excursion to London Zoo"
Lasting = 継続する時間

A day trip = 日帰りの旅行や行楽.
例："You can take a day trip to the Esk Valley any time during the month of August until December, when the trains service stops."
（８月から電車の運行が止まる１２月までいつでもEsk Valleyまでの日帰りツアーへ行くことができます。）
Excursion =短い旅行、特にレジャーアクティビティ、外出や遠足、遠征、ツアーなど
例："An excursion to London Zoo"

In each case, you have to mention the mode of transport you will be using. For example, using the first phrase, you may say:
I will be taking a 'day trip' by bus. This means that you will not be using any other mode of transport other than 'by bus'.
The same goes for the second phrase. You may say:
I will be taking a 'one day bus tour'. Again, the mode of transport is specified, 'bus tour'.
In the third expression, the noun 'excursion' is used. The noun 'excursion' means a short journey usually taken for leisure and not work. The mode of transport is again specified, 'by bus'.
どちらの場合も、使用する交通手段について言わなければいけません。例えば、最初の文でこう言うことが出来ます。I will be taking a 'day trip' by bus.（バスで1日旅行に行きます）この文はバス以外の他の交通手段を使わないということです。
2番めの文章にも同じことが当てはまります。こう言うことが出来ます。I will be taking a 'one day bus tour'（1日のバスツアーに参加します）再度交通手段は、バスツアーと明記しています。
3番目の表現では、excursionという名詞が使われています。excursionという名詞は、通常仕事ではなく、娯楽目的の小旅行という意味です。交通手段は、再度バスと明記しています。
>Tokyo have a lot of tours by bus on a daily basis.
>The bus in Tokyo have tours on a daily basis.
Daily basis explains that it happens from day to day and that everyday has is a new trip and not a 3 day trip of 5 day trip.
When referring to a bus tour we would simply call it a, "one day bus tour." If we don't need to specify the type of transportation we can say it's a, "a day trip," or a, "one day excursion."
