上のすべても通じます。

  "what I dropped" 「私が落としたのは」
  "an iron axe" 「鉄の斧」

この場合は、次のように言うと良いでしょう。
ーI didn't drop either one of them.
「どちらも落としませんでした」

ーI didn't drop the gold axe or the silver axe.
「金の斧も銀の斧も落としませんでした」

例：
I didn't drop either one of them. The one I dropped was the iron one.
