綺麗なモデルや女優を見ても、自分とは違う人だと思ってたって英語でなんて言うの？

上記の英訳では２番目の方が直訳だと言えます。辞書で調べると「人類」がraceに訳されているかもしれませんが、今回の「人類」に対してraceよりkind of humanの方が当てます。
１番目のI am nothing like themは「自分とは全然違う人だ」の英訳です。とても自然な言い方です。
