one way or the other で「どちみち」
for an extended period で「長期間」
もし「飛行機の運賃もそれなりにかかるから、どうせ旅行するなら、長期間滞在する方が良いね」という感じで言うなら、次のように言うのが自然な感じで良いでしょう。
ーIf I'm going to pay that much money for an airplane ticket, I'd like to go for an extended period.
「飛行機のチケットにあれだけ払うなら、長期間行きたいね」
ーIf the airfare is going to cost that much money anyway, I'd like to stay there for a longer period of time.
「飛行機代があんなにかかるなら、もっと長い間い滞在したいね」
