これを買った決め手は○○ですって英語でなんて言うの？

バレンタインデーにチョコレートを選ぶ時にたくさんあって迷いました。これを買った決め手はおしゃれな猫のイラストが描いてある缶にチョコが入っていたからだと説明したいです。Buying facorやKey Buying pointでは伝わらなかったです。

私なら decisive factor を使わず、次のように言うと思います。
ーThe main reason why I decided to buy this chocolate was because of the cute picture of the cat on the can.
「このチョコレートを買おうと思った主な理由は、缶の可愛い猫の絵です」
