母国語を教えるのは難しいです。って英語でなんて言うの？

"母国語を教えるのは難しいです。"
- It's hard to teach your native language.
母国語: native/mother language, mother tongue

日本語は無意識に使っているので外国人に文法的なことを聞かれても答えられない。ただ自分はこう言うとしか言えないのが申し訳ない
- Since I speak Japanese without thinking about it, I can't answer foreigners when they ask me questions about things like grammar. I feel sorry because I can only say "this is how I say it".

この場合、次のような言い方ができます。

ーIt's difficult teaching your mother tongue to another person.
「母国語を他の人に教えるのは難しい」
to teach one's mother tongue「母国語を教える」

ーIt's hard to explain your own language to someone else.
「誰かに自分の言語を説明するのは難しい」＝母国語の文法などを説明するのが難しいというニュアンスです。
