- It was a country with a weak impression.
- It was a country that didn't leave a strong impression.
- It was a country that didn't make a lasting impression.

この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。

ーThat country didn't make much of an impression on me.
「その国は印象が薄かった」

ーI wasn't really impressed by that country.
「その国にはあまり印象付けられなかった」＝「印象が薄かった」
これは「その国にはあまり感銘を受けなかった（あまり良く思わなかった）」という意味にも取れます

ーNothing about that country really stood out to me.
「その国はあまり際立たなかった」＝「印象が薄かった」
