〜が恋しい、は英語でI miss~で表現できますね。
例えば、
When you moved away from your home country, what did you miss most?
母国から引っ越したらに何が一番恋しかった？
I miss the clear blue sky
青空が恋しい
どんよりした厚い雲を眺めながら使える表現です。blue skyでもOKですがclear blue skyの方が、うっとうしい梅雨での空じゃない、というイメージがより強く伝わります。

この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。
ーI miss seeing the blue skies.
「青空が恋しいよ」
to miss seeing the blue skies「青空を見るのが恋しい」

「梅雨の間は青空が見れないから嫌だ」
