海外の友人とメッセージをやり取りする際に、電車の中など「今、帰宅中なんだ。」と伝えたく質問をさせていただきました。
今は「Now I am going to my home.」でメッセージを送っています。向こうもニュアンスは伝わっているのか反応として返事は来ますが、ネイティブが使う表現を知りたくて質問をさせていただきました。

I'm on my way home.
と言います。
[家に向かう](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/117477/)道にいる、直訳するとそういうイメージでしょうか？
homeは副詞なので前置詞がいらないんですね。
go to homeとはならずに go homeになるんです。
こういうのは文法うんぬんというより
こういうフレーズで覚えてしまうのが体感的に体得も早いのだと思います。
普通の名詞なら
I'm on my way to school.
というようにto が入ります。
