消防士は Fire Fighter(s) です。
Beware of fire and be sure to lock your door.

the name for the device that puts out fires in a public place is called a Fire Extinguisher.
This device is usually portable and light enough for one person to use, it is filled with either water, foam, gas or another non flammable material that helps to extinguish a fire.
Some publich places also use 'fire blankets' which quickly put out fires by covering the fire and stopping any air from allowing the fire to grow.
Thanks for the question
Good luck learning!
