Actually, I studied English in school, but it is still hard for me to speak English fluently.
会話口調の表現を作成してみました。
例)Actually, I studied English in school, but it is still hard for me to speak English fluently.
「学校で勉強していたのに、英語を自然に話すことは、まだ難しいです。」
・it is still hard for me to +動詞の原型
「これは私にとって~することは、まだ難しいです」
例)It is still hard for me to understand this grammar.
「この文法を理解することは、私にとってまだ難しいです」
とても使いやすい表現なので、よかったら使ってみてくださいね^^

Words just won't come out of my mouth when I try to talk in English.
英語で喋ろうとすると言葉が口から出てこない。
I've studied TOEIC recently. What's more, we had a 3 year English education in junior hischool. I am surprised that the words won't come out when I try to talk. Even though it's just plain words that I can easily write, it gets difficult when it comes to speaking. That's what I realize these days.
最近はTOEICを勉強しているし中学で3年間も英語を勉強しました。喋ろうとすると言葉が口から出てこないことに驚いています。書くのに苦労しない簡単な言葉だとしても、喋るとなるとすごく難しくなる。最近それに気付きました。
You can say :
It is difficult for me to speak English.
I struggle with speaking English.
difficult - troublesome, hard
If you struggle to do something, you try hard to do it, even though other people or things may be making it difficult for you to succeed.
以下のようにいうことができます。
It is difficult for me to speak English.
I struggle with speaking English.
difficult
大変、難しい
もし、何か困難なことがあれば、例え、他の人々や何かが成功することが妨げたとしても、頑張ります。
I studied English at school but have some difficulty speaking
Although having studied English at school, speaking it presents some challenges for me
Although...' - when introducing a contrast between two things, 'although' is a great way of starting the explanation:
"Although it was raining and cold outside, I felt wonderfully warm and comfortable inside the car."
A challenge - a cjhallenge is something which is difficult to do or to achieve.
Although...' (~という事実にもかかわらず)
- 二つの事を対照的に話すときに'although'を使って文章を始めます。
【例】
"Although it was raining and cold outside, I felt wonderfully warm and comfortable inside the car."
(外は雨が降っていて寒いにもかかわらず、車の中は素晴らしく暖かく心地が良い)
"A challenge"(チャレンジ、挑戦)
- これは成し遂げることが難しく困難な事と言う意味です。
Although I studied English at school, I still have great difficulty in expressing myself in English...words often fail me!
Whenever I try to speak in English I fail miserably...nothing cames out no matter how hard I try
Learning and "doing" are two different things...Many of us know the rudiments of the English language, but lack the confidence to "launch into a conversation", at the drop of a hat" (idiom) and we need great skills to be spontaneous on demand.
習うことと実際に「やってみる」ことは異なることです。
ほとんどの人は英語の基礎を知っていますが、
「早速("at the drop of a hat"というイディオム)会話で使ってみる」ことに自信をもてないでいます。
必要に応じて新しい表現を自然に使えるスキルが必要ですね。
Even though I studied English in school, I still don't speak it very well.
I studied English in school, but I don't speak it very well.
Although I studied English in school, I don't speak it very well.
I tried to use similar formatting within each example phrase so I could show you a different in use between certain types of clausal conjunctions. As you can see the three words are, "Even though," "Although," and, but." Although these three conjunctions have a similar use to have two clauses go against each other, the main difference is the placement of the conjunction within the sentence.
I have difficulties speaking English even though I studied it hard at school
I need to practise my English, I feel like I can't speak any even though I enjoyed learning it at school
You can say "I have difficulties" and this means that it is quite difficult for you and that you often have problems trying to express yourself.
Even though we study languages hard at school, we must keep learning afterwards. You must keep practising a new language because if not you will start to forget it. We don't learn enough of it at school. There is a lot we have to learn by ourselves.
"I have difficulties" はこの場合「自分の言いたいことがなかなか言えない」という意味を表します。
外国語は学校で習いますが、その後も学習を続けていく必要があります。外国語は続けていないと忘れてしまいます。「学校で学ぶことで十分」ではありません。自分自身で学ばなければならないことがたくさんあります。
I learned English but my reading and writing is better than my speaking.
Despite learning English in school, speaking is still difficult for me.
Learning another language is challenging as quite often we excel in some areas of languages e.g writing and listening but are slow to develop in other areas. This is very normal and the sentences above are examples of how you can explain this to people. You can change the sentences to suit which ever aspect of English you are struggling at e.g. I learned English but my reading is better than my writing etc.
外国語学習ではしばしば得意なこと(例えばライティング、リスニング)と苦手なことができてしまいます。
これはよくあることで、上の文でもこれについて表しています。
もちろん、何が苦手かによって文を変えることもできます。
例えば:
I learned English but my reading is better than my writing
(英語を習いましたが、ライティングよりもリーディングの方が得意です)
I am not confident in speaking English even though I learnt the language at school.
I am more confident at writing English than speaking even though I learnt how to at school.
At school, I studied English but I have difficulties how to speak the language
When struggling to speak the English language, you could say that you aren't 'confident' or that you have 'difficulties' as this will then let the know person you are speaking to that you aren't as advanced.
英語を話すのが「苦手」ということなら、"I am not confident"(自信がない)や "I have difficulties"(うまくできない)という言い方ができます。
I studied English at school but I still find it difficult to speak fluently because my vocabulary is limited.
Even though I studied English at school, my vocabulary is limited, making it difficult for me to speak fluently.
There are a number of reasons why some people find it difficult to speak English even though they might have studied it at school. First reason is insufficient vocabulary collection. If one does not have a good enough collection of English vocabulary, it's difficult for that person to speak fluently.A good vocabulary collection will enable you to choose your words wisely. The second reason is not being able to construct sentences well. This also depends on how large your vocabulary collection is.The third reason is the incorrect usage of verb tenses. If you can't place the correct verb tense in a sentence, you will find it difficult to converse or carry out a discussion.Speaking fluently in English means that you have a good vocabulary collection which enables you to quickly construct sentences using the correct verb tenses.
So, you may say:
I studied English at school but I still find it difficult to speak fluently because my vocabulary is limited.
or
Even though I studied English at school, my vocabulary is limited, making it difficult for me to speak fluently.
I studied English at school but I still find it difficult to speak fluently because my vocabulary is limited.
(学校で英語を勉強しましたが語彙が十分でないためいまだ流ちょうには話せません)
Even though I studied English at school, my vocabulary is limited, making it difficult for me to speak fluently.
(学校で英語を勉強しましたが、語彙が十分でないため流ちょうには話せません)
I can't speak English despite the fact that I studied it at school.
I studied English at school but I can't speak it.
At school I studied English but I can't speak it.
I can't speak English despite the fact that I studied it at school.
Each saying the same thing, more or less, so you can choose one and give it a go, and then swap it and try another. Why not try them all in the same day? Enjoy them and use them well.
I hope it helps.
Have a great day.
