"Apps" is short for applications that we use on our phones, laptops or computers.
Some of these apps are very user friendly (easy to use) and has really made life easier for a lot of people.
Examples of how we can ask someone if they have any recommendations for good apps:
"Do you know of any good apps?"
"Do you have any cool apps?"
"What apps would you recommend?"
Do you know of any good apps?
Do you have any cool apps?
What apps would you recommend?
Do you know any good apps?
What apps do you recommend?
Do you know any good apps?
do you know?
Do you know を省略して
Any good apps?

Can you recommend any great apps for my new phone?
What's your favourite app?
Well, you may assume that your friend's favourite app is a good one - or at least the best one that he knows about! So asking for that information is an indirect way of posing this question. Or you may prefer just to cut to the chase and ask them:
"Can you recommend any great apps for my new phone?"
Can you recommend any great apps for my phone?
I am new to this Smart phone app thing! Do you know of any good apps for me?
Do you know of? ...are you aware of? ...can you tell me of? these all lead to the same outcome in this scenario...What can you tell me that will help:-)???
"I am new to this Smart phone app thing! Do you know of any good apps for me?"
Do you know of? ...Are you aware of? ...Can you tell me of? ... What can you tell me that will help:-)???
"I am new to this Smart phone app thing! Do you know of any good apps for me?"
In the first two examples we can either use the phrase "do you have," or, "Are there," interchangeably to mean the same thing. We can also start the phrase with, "what apps..," to ultimately ask what they would recommend.
