まず、 日本語の「頑張る」ですが、
英語はこれに相当する短い且つ簡潔な動詞がないですね。
一番使われているのは直訳の「do my best」、「work/try hard」などかと思いますが、
少々不自然な印象になります。
なので、「頑張ります」という部分について、「意訳」をオススメします。
これを、「先生のアドバイスを参考に」とうまく組み合わせて使うと、以下のような感じになります：

英語ならこんな風にいいます。

とお礼を言います。
Your advice always helps me.
あなたのアドバイスはいつも役に立ちます。
「いつもアドバイスを参考にしています」
という意味でお礼になります。
I'll put your suggestion into practice.
あなたのアドバイスを実行します。
＝実際に行動します、ということで
「がんばります」という意味に。
Thank you for your advice, I will definitely give that/it a try!
As you can see I didn't really imply the use of 「頑張ります」in english but if you say "I'll put your advice to practice!" with confidence and honesty then it will have the same feeling as 頑張ります！
You can also say "Thank you for your advice, I will definitely give that/it a try!" and add more to your sentence to sound more natural like saying " I'll definitely give that a try when I do 〇〇" or "I'll give it a try for sure next time I do 〇〇"
Of course what you finish your sentence depends on the advice they gave you.

見ての通り、「頑張ります」という言葉では表現していませんが、自信を持って、素直な気持ちで "I'll put your advice to practice!" と言う事で「頑張ります！」と同じ意味合いを持ちます。
その他に、"Thank you for your advice, I will definitely give that/it a try!"とも言えます。
どの後に" I'll definitely give that a try when I do 〇〇" or "I'll give it a try for sure next time I do 〇〇" などど加えるとより自然な表現となります。
先生がどんなアドバイスをしたかによって、〇〇の部分を変えて文を作ってください。
