遅刻1分も1時間も同じ罰金なら今行くのは損だよねって英語でなんて言うの？

既に5分遅刻しているのでゆっくりして行くそうです。それでもできる限り早く行くべきだという考えは日本人の美徳でしょうね。

Since the penalty is the same whether you're a minute late or an hour late, it's a loss to go now, right?
The penalty for being an hour late is the same as for being a minute late, so there's no point in going now, is there?

損 = a loss, a disadvantage 罰金 = penalty, fine
