narrow（ナロー） はそのまま「狭い」という意味です。
sense は「意味」という意味ですね。make sense で「意味が分かりやすい、筋がちゃんと通っている」などの意味もあります。
・広義
a broad/wide sense
なお、それぞれ「狭義には 〜」「広義には 〜」と言いたい場合には前置詞 in を使って
in a narrow sense in a broad/wide sense
と言います。

「狭義」の意味はある言葉が広い意味範囲と狭い意味範囲をもつとき、その狭い方の意味のこと。
