~するのを反対する、って英語でなんて言うの？

「私の母親は、私が携帯を持つのを反対した」
を上記の回答例の用語を使用して表現しますと、
My mother opposed my having a cell [mobile] phone.

My mother was opposed to my having a cell [mobile] phone.

My mother objected to my having a cell [mobile] phone.

「反対する」というのを意訳して「して欲しくない・好ましくない」としました。
My mother doesn’t like me having a cell phone.　とも言えますね。

他には例えば、「両親に彼との結婚を反対される」のような文の場合の「反対される」は
opposeやagainstを使って以下のように言えます。
My parents were opposed to me marrying him.
My parents are against me marrying him.

私の母親は、私が携帯を持つのを反対した。は英語で
My mum didn't like me to have a mobile phone.
My mother was opposed to the idea that I'd have a mobile phone.

反対した　は　be opposed to ～　やbe against などを使いますが
単に嫌いという意味で、dont like としても良いです。
むしろ多くの場合こちらの方が自然に聞こえます。
余談ですが、mumはイギリス式のスペルで、momはアメリカ式のスペルです。
発音も異なります。

他にも"親に海外で1人で生活することを反対されている" という日本語なら以下の通り英語で説明ができます。
「My parents are opposed to the idea of me living by myself in a foreign country.」
「My parents don't like the idea of me living abroad by myself.」
