という結果になるって英語でなんて言うの？

例えば、調査の結果、〇〇(そのＤＮＡはイェティではなくただの熊)ということになった。などの「～という結果になる」って何と言えばいいでしょうか？　　We found that ～.ではなく「結果になる」というニュアンスを出したいと思います。

「結果は…を示している」

・The result was that ...
「結果は…だった」

上記のような言い方はいかがでしょうか。
「結果」は result と言えます。

【例】
Results of several examinations showed that the DNA was that of a bear.
複数の調査の結果はそのDNAが熊のものであったと示していた。
→調査したDNAは熊のものだったという結果になった。

Discoveredは「発見した」という意味です。よくビックリするぐらい結果と使います。例えば、It had been discovered that these fossils were from Mars. 

Resultsは「結果」という意味です。Results show that は「結果になる」のことです。例えば、The results show that people read faster through books rather than e-books.

It turned out to be the DNA of A instead of B.
それはBではなくAのDNAであるということが判明した。
