レストランで「食べ終わりましたか？」と言われた時の答え方です。
①I'm still working on it.
まだ食べています。
"Work on it" =「とりかかる、作業する」などの意味があります。あえて"eat"という言葉を使わなくても、レストランで食べてる際にこのフレーズを使った場合は明らかに「まだ食べてます」という事が伝わります。これに"still"を入れれば、「まだ」ということが一発で伝わります。
例)
店員: Are you all finished?
客 : No I'm still working on it.
②Not yet
いえ、まだです。
最もシンプルな答え方はこれでしょうか。食事中でなくても、「まだです」と言いたい時は、いつでも使えます。少しはっきりすぎて強く聞こえてしまいがちですが、英語圏では逆にハッキリと応答しないと通じないこともあるので"Not yet"もどんどん使ってOKです。
「まだ食べ終わっていません」のニュアンスを少し変えて、
「まだ途中です」の表現が、
I'm still working on this.
workはもちろん「働く」ですが、
work onには「取り組む」の意味があり、
まだ食べることに取り組んでるところ→まだ途中→まだ食べ終わっていません
となります。
もしテーブルに何人かで座って食べていれば、
主語をweに変えると、より自然です。
ウェーターが丁寧に「終わりましたか？」と聞いてきたら、丁寧に「② I'm still eating, thank you.」と言うといいでしょう。（まだ食べています、聞いてくれてありがとうー のニュアンスです。）
逆に、ウェーターがやってきて、まだ終わっていないのに勝手に皿を下げようとしたときは（良くありますね）：「① No, I'm not finished yet.」。指示するような言い方で言うといいでしょう。

Both phrases clearly indicate that you haven't finished eating. In more formal British restaurants it was traditional to indicate you had finished by placing your knife and fork together on the plate.

Can you wait until we are done eating before you clear the table.
Anyone of the sentences can be used in this situation.
1. Asking for extra time is telling the waiter that he should not be in a rush because you are still busy eating.
2. This is telling the waiter that he/she must wait until you call him to come and clear the table.
3. This is clearly indicating that the waiter should wait until you are all done eating.

Would you mind giving us a few more minutes is a polite signal to the
waiter that he should leave the table. He will realise his mistake and
will make sure that everyone has finished their meal before returning.
Could you come back later is self-explanatory. The waiter will know
that later means after everyone has eaten.

ウェイターがテーブルを離れなければならないことを認識するでしょう。そして下げる前に食事が終わっているか確認します。

When you are still busy eating and you are not ready for the table to be cleared, let the waiter or waitress know by using the sentences above.
If you would like to have a portion of of the table cleared you can let the waiter or waitress know.
"Please take those dishes but leave these behind."
"You can come back for these a little later."
"We are still using these, thank you."
まだ食事を続けていて、テーブルを片付けて欲しくないなら、ウェイターまたはウェイトレスに上記のように伝えましょう。
片付けて良いものと片付けて欲しくないものがあるなら、そのように伝えます。
"Please take those dishes but leave these behind."（そっちのお皿は片付けて、こっちのは残しておいてください）
"You can come back for these a little later."（これはもう少ししたら片付けても良いです）
"We are still using these, thank you."（まだこれは使っています、ありがとうございます）
