お互いの出身国に、興味が無く話が弾まないって英語でなんて言うの？

アイルランドに、短期留学して分かりました。英語、英語圏に対する興味は、全生徒持っている。が、
 例えば、ルクセンブルグ人、日本人の生徒が 会話をしようとしても、お互いの出身国に興味が無くて話が弾まない。と言ってみたいです
