1. 「May I call you .... ?」は、直訳すると「...と呼んでいいですか？」となりますが、一歩さがっただけの距離感の呼び名の尋ね方です。これは尊敬や遠慮の表現でもあります。
2. 「Is it OK to call you.... ?」は、「...と呼んでも大丈夫ですか？」としてより柔らかい印象を与えます。こちらも敬意を表す一方で、少しカジュアルな感じも受けるでしょう。
3. 「Would you mind if I call you...?」は、「...と呼んでも構わないですか？」という意味で、とても丁寧な表現です。対等な関係性でも使えますし、あまりにもカジュアルな言い方を避けたい場合にも適しています。
これは、英語でよく使うフレーズです。
相手との距離感をなくすために使います。
「Can」の方は結構カジュアルな感じがします。
「May」はより丁寧です。
「Would it be alright if」は最も丁寧ですが、距離感がないのでオススメします。

Difference between 'can' and 'may'
Both indicate that you are asking somone for permission to do something.
'May' is, however, more polite.
Therefore, 'may' can be used in both formal and informal contexts whereas 'can' should only be used informally.
