「[昨年](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/73878/)」や「[来年](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/42361/)」は良く使う英単語ですが、「一昨年」や「再来年」は“その年の前”、“その年の後”と考えてみるといいと思います。
3年後 three years later
2年後（再来年） two years later ( the year after next )
1年後（来年） next year
今年 this year
1年前（去年） last year
2年前（一昨年） two years ago ( the year before last )
また、おととしの夏…などの表現は上記の「一昨年」という表現のyearを季節に変えると大丈夫です。
一昨年の夏 the Summer before last
再来年の春 the Spring after next
「[去年](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/56170/)」は英語で last year.
「再来年」は英語でnext year.
とてもシンプルな言い方ですが、last を二回、nextを二回使うと、表現が成り立ちます。
「一昨年」＝last last year.
「再来年」=next next year.
もしくは、
「一昨年」＝2 years ago.
「再来年」=2 years after.
「一昨年」はthe year before last
「再来年」はthe year after nextと言いますm(__)m
