が一番簡潔かつよく使われる表現です。
それ以外ですと
"The camera crashed into the ground"
「カメラが地面に衝突した」
"The camera hit the ground, hard"
「カメラが地面に強く打ち付けられた」
などがあります。

この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。
ーMy camera slipped out of my hands and landed on the ground like a rock.
「手が滑ってカメラを地面に思いっきり落としてしまった」
手が滑って落としたのなら、to slip out of one's hands を使って表現できます。
landed on the ground like a rock の代わりに、hit the ground with a thud「地面にごつん、ガシャんと当たった」を使っても言えます。
