他の表現として、
「やめた」→「アカウントを削除した」と変更しても、英語だとナチュラルに表現できると思います。
例）Why did you delete your Facebook account?
「なぜあなたはFacebookのアカウントを削除したの？(Facebookやめたの？)」

What made you....? This construction again may be used to find the key factor that caused someone to do something.
A: "What made you fall in love with Mary?"
B: "I think it was her long legs!"
Why'd you.....? =この構造は、スメモネが何かした理由を尋ねるのに使うことができます。

理由を聞きたいということですので、せっかくですからwhyを使わずに、what made you do A?「何があなたにAさせたのか＝なんでAをしたのか」という用法を使ってみました。
deactivateは、activate「活性化させる、作動させる」に、逆の意味を示す接頭語de-が付いているので「動作を停止させる」すなわちFacebookを「やめる」ということになります。この他にも、un-install「アンインストールする」だったり、quit「やめる」もシチュエーションに合っているので使えます。
