"They are the same thing." 「これらは同じものです。」この文ではできるだけ直接翻訳しました。しかし、店の場面で話すときは、"thing"（もの）の代わりに"product"（製品）を使ったほうがもっと自然かもしれません。 客に説明するとき次の例文も使ってもいいです。 "The companies that made the two products are different but the products themselves are the same." 「二つの製品を生産した会社は違うんですが、この二つは同じ製品です。」"company"は「会社」という意味です。 "These are the same product made by different companies." 「これらは同じ製品であるが、生産した会社は違います。」 参考になれば幸いです。
