予防って英語でなんて言うの？

医学的な文脈では〜

disease prevention = 病気の予防

precautionary measures to prevent diseases spreading = 病気の広がりを防ぐ予防措置

protection against infectious diseases = 感染症に対する防御

予防接種 を使いたいなら、この三つの用語をどちらでも使えます = vaccination; inoculation; immunization

インフルエンザの予防接種は flu shot と言うことが多いです。

予防は一般的に prevention と言います。一番使いやすくて、病気と感染の話に便利です。

もう一つの言い方は stave off です。
stave off a cold
stave off hunger

Keep from -ing も言えます。すこし長いけど、とても自然です。
I wear a mask to keep from getting sick.
マスクをする

「予防接種」= Preventative innoculation; vaccination; innoculation になります。

「病気を予防しないといけない」= We must prevent disease.
「予防接種を受けないといけない」= We must take vaccinations.

などです

ご参考までに

「予防」は英語で「prevention」と「precaution」で表現できます。

例文：
「感染が広がるの予防に勤めています」
→「We are working hard in the prevention of spreading infection」
→「We are working hard on precautions of spreading infection」

「感染予防の対策を決めます」
→「Decide on infection prevention strategies」
→「Decide on infection precaution strategies」
