May I have a receipt ?
Could you give me a receipt ?
Can I take a receipt ?
May I......? ' is a polite way to ask someone for permission to do something, or, as in this case, an indirect way of asking them to give you something.
The first example sentence is a standard and polite form when requesting a receipt.
May I......?'
Native speakers will say like this: “Can I have the receipt, please?”.
There are lots of other ways to say it, but this one is the most accurate and most commonly used.
Here is an example on how to use this in a conversation:
A: That'll be 20$.
B: Here you go. And can I please have the receipt?
A: Of course, here it is.
“Can I have the receipt, please?”
A: That'll be 20$.
B: Here you go. And can I please have the receipt?
A: Of course, here it is.
We commonly use phrases like this when we ask the clerk for the receipt. Asking them to put it in the bag is a less confrontational way of asking for the receipt.
If you want to ask someone for a receipt then you would say 'can i have/get a recipt, please?' you could also say May i have a receipt, please? these are both correct and a polite way of asking
Can I have a receipt?"または"Can I get a receipt?"(レシートを下さい)と言います。”May I have a receipt, please?"
