昔は、携帯と言えば電話しか出来ず、形もかなり違ったって英語でなんて言うの？

❶Back in the day, cell phones could only call people and they look nothing like what they do now.
(昔は、携帯は電話をかけることしかできなかった、そして見た目は今の携帯とは全然違う)。

❷Early cell phones were just for talking, also their physical design has changed drastically throughout the years.
(初期の携帯は話すためだけのものだった、そして外見はその間にかなり形を変えている)。

〜と言えるでしょう。

例えば:
When I was a teenager, flip phones were so popular. But now, nobody has a flip phone.
(私が１０代の時ガラケーはとても人気だった。でも今、誰もガラケー持っていない)。

Cell-phones used to be used just for talking to someone, and they looked completely different than they do now.
携帯電話はかつて通話でのみ使用されていて、現在の携帯電話とは全く形も異なる

「電話しかできず→通話で使用するのみ」と意訳をしました。just for talking となります。
「昔は」は used to〜　と言うフレーズを使うといいですね。。
「形が違う→全く違って見える」と意訳をして looked completely different としました。
