いずれも、”so"(で、[さて、](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/50738/))という接続詞としての単語から入ると自然になりますね。 ”here goes the main part." (ここから本題に入ります)という「本題」というのを間接的に表現で言い表した場合の例。 ”this is where we begin with our main issue. " (ここが本題に入るところになります。→ ここからが本題になります。) "this is where we will get into the main topic." (ここから本題に入ります。) 皆すごい似てますね~、結局、ちょっとずつ変えただけの別パターンです。 好みで使ってみてください。 がんばってくださいね~!

  • So, let me get to the point.

私も、やはり So, から入ります。 日本語の言い回しとは少し違うのですが、 同じ場面で、 So, let me get to the point [では、](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/77001/)本題に入らせていただきます。 get to the point = 本題に入る the point = 本題 この表現もよく使います。

Alternatively, "The main point I am trying to make is that women should have equal rights in the workplace."
尚、 ""The main point I am trying to make is that women should have equal rights in the workplace.""というように、The main point I am trying to make is that …で作ることもできる。:本題としては、職場での男女の権利は均等であるべきだということです。

  • Let's get down to business.

    play icon

Fumiyaさん、こんにちは。 Ken先生 森田先生のご回答に 加えさせていただき、 このような表現はいかがでしょう。 ↓ "Let's get down to business." ↓ "All right, everyone,let's get down to business." 「それではみなさま、本題へ参りましょう」 いかがでしたでしょう。 お役に立てば 幸いです。

Any of these statements are appropriate, you can use them before you start talking about the main point of what you are saying. You can also say ' And here is the meat of the matter' The meat of the matter means the most important fundamental part of the what you have to say.
これらのどの表現を使ってもいいのですが、本題に入る前に使います。また ' And here is the meat of the matter' という言い回しも使えます。 “The meat of the matter” はあなたが言いたいことの中で一番重要な部分を指します。

  • Let me state the main point.

    play icon

When you want to start talking about the main topic, you may succinctly say " let me state the main point" or "let me get to the main point". However, you may also use the idiom "lets get down to brass tacks". "Getting down to brass tacks" is an idiom which means getting to talk about the most important things regarding a particular situation. Conversations center around main topics. A person may be explaining something which has a central point. This is what can be called 'brass tacks'. So, you may say: Lets get down to brass tacks. or Let me state the main point.
ほ本題に入るときは、簡潔にこう言いましょう。 "Let me state the main point." "Let me get to the main point." (本題に入らせていただきます。) これらも、「今から大切なことについて話します」という意味のイディオムです。 "Let get down to brass tacks." "Getting down to brass tacks." (では要所に触れます。) "brass tacks"は要点という意味です。

Here are three sentence beginning phrases that you can use to emphasize that you want to discuss the main point in a conversation. The first two examples are quite literal by using words like, "main point," and, "want to say." However the last one is a expression we can use to discuss a main point after giving a lot of background details, or to skip the background details and get straight to the main point.

"Now, what I want to discuss is your ideas on our work project." All of these examples show the different ways in which you can bring the conversation back to the main idea of your conversations. Hope it helps!
