「理解」という言葉を英語で表すと、「understanding」という言葉と「comprehension」という言葉を使っても良いと考えました。この二つの言葉は名詞です。例えば、「I have an understanding of basic science.」と「I have a comprehension of basic science.」と言っても良いです。「Basic」は「基本的」という意味があって、「science」は「理科」という意味があります。動詞は「understand」と「comprehend」です。例えば、「I understand basic science.」と「I comprehend basic science.」も使っても良いと考えました。
彼女を理解するのはとても難しいです。
She's really hard to understand.
「Get」はこの場合にとても便利な言葉です。「わかる」と「理解する」と同じ意味があります。
