I feel like I'm pretty comfortable with conversations about planned subjects, but conversations where the topic isn't decided are still really hard for me.
I feel like I'm pretty (comfortable/confidentなど）with ○○, but は、「○○は何とかできるようになりましたが…」のニュアンスと一緒だと思います。
そして、「他の自由な内容についてははまだまだ無理です」と口に出して言います。 conversations where the topic isn't decided are still really hard for me.と言います。「自由な」を直訳的に入れたら、free conversationになりますが、ネイティブの人にあまり使われていないです。無料の会話という意味だと思われる可能性があると思います。
