I unplugged the cords at the back of TV so the kids don't watch TV all the time.
I took out the cords from the back of the TV so our children can't turn on the TV whenever they want.

unplug the cords で「配線を外す」「コードを抜く」

「コードを抜く」は take out the cords とも言えます。
