3年生って英語でなんて言うの？

GEEさんご質問どうもありがとうございました。 下記の言い方ではいかがでしょうか。 実に言うと１つの言い方がありません。 •小学3年生 3rd grader (third grader) •中学3年生 high school freshman or 9th grader (ninth grader) 学校にいる年（[小学校](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/36103/)もふくめて）9年ですので「ninth grader」を言います。「freshman」と言うのは文化はちょっと違います。ほぼアメリカの[中学校](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/42188/)は日本の中2年までです。[高校](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/42187/)に入ったから「freshman」の名前をつけます。 •高校3年生　high school senior or 12th grader (twelfth grader) •大学3年生 college junior 理由がよく分かりませんですが、大学に入ったら以上と一緒に一生の学年を言いません。 高校と大学の年言葉 1年 freshman 2年 sophomore 3年 junior 4年 senior ご参考にしていただければ幸いです。

小学校、中学校、高校、[大学](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/36222/)どのレベルでも The third grade で3年生という意味です。 例えばI’m in the third grade at junior high school. といば、中学校3年生です。 ちなみに、Freshman, sophomore などの言い方はアメリカ英語なので、イギリスではほぼ使われていません。
