English educationも大丈夫です。
この場合、「問題を解く」という表現を直訳するとto solve problemsになりますね。でもそういう表現はちょっと一般的なので、相手は「試験・成績だけのため」と理解しない可能性があると思います。それで、only focuses on test scoresと解釈しました。
