"There isn't one "proper" way to say this like there is in Japanese. There are actually some other ways to say it that could be considered slang. The examples I provided are expressions I have heard being used.
これ!といった訳が思いつかないのですが、上記の3つは聞いたことがあります。whipは「~をむちで打つ」という意味でよく知られていますが、乾燥機に入れる前の動作のように「素早くひっぱる」といった意味でも使われます。
If you stretch out your clothes before you put them in the dryer, they won't have as many wrinkles when they are done.
この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。
ーIf you stretch out your clothes before you put them in the dryer, they won't have as many wrinkles when they are done.
「乾燥機に入れる前に服を伸ばすと、終わった時シワが少なく乾くよ」
ここの「伸ばす」は to stretch out を使うと良いでしょう。
won't have as many wrinkles で「そこまで多くのシワがつかない」と言えます。
