コンビニに勤務しています。外国人の常連客の方が数日前の買い物に対してポイントを加算してほしいとお店に申し出てきました。何とかお断りしましたが同様のケースに備えて「I‘ｍ afraid that we cannot add points to you after payments due to our system.」と文章を考えてみました。適切な表現をお教えいただきたくお願い申し上げます。
I'm afraid the system doesn't allow us to add points once a transaction is complete.
Points are rewarded only at the time of purchase. We're not able to go back and add those points at a later time.
masahiko watanabeさんがご質問されている「I‘ｍ afraid that we cannot add points to you after payments due to our system.」で、とても近いです！この文を使われる場合は "...after payments" の後のに "are made" をつけて、”add points after payments are made due to..." としましょう。後、"add points" の後の "to you" は無くても大丈夫です。
ご参考までに以下の2パターンも載せておきますね。
"I'm afraid the system doesn't allow us to add points once a transaction is complete."
「申し訳ありませんが、システムの都合上支払いが完了したものについてはポイントを加算できません」
"Points are rewarded only at the time of purchase. We're not able to go back and add those points at a later time."
「ポイントの加算はご清算の時のみ可能です。後から遡ってポイントをつけることは出来ません。」
