「～の件」は英語で「In regards to」や「Regarding」をよく使います。
特にビジネス英語のメールで使った方が良いと思います。
例文：
In regards to the topic we talked about last week...
先週、話した件～
Regarding the report that you sent me yesterday...
昨日、いただいてくれたレポートの件について、
因みに、「あの件」の場合、「In regards to that」になります。
例えば、In regards to that email that the teacher sent us, did you understand it?
「教師からいただいたメールの件について、了解できましたか？

名詞regardには、『関心、関連』という意味があります。
with regard to ○○で、『○○に関して、○○に関連した』という意味になります。
2 about
『○○の件』＝『○○について』とシンプルに考えてみました。
『明日の会議の件について、少し話したい。』
I want to talk a little about tomorrow's meeting.
『明日の会議の件だが、準備はできている？』
Are you ready with regard to tomorrow's meeting?
そうすると、前置詞aboutを使うだけで表現することができます。
