We use the word 'soak' to describe lying in a bath full or warm water. It also invokes images and feelings of being relaxed and happy, and staying in the bath for a long time. A quick and fast bath could not be described as a soak. A soak, or a 'soak in the bath', is often enjoyed with a few candles lit in the bathroom, and some scented, sweet smelling bath salts or bubble liquid added to help you relax and enjoy it even more!
