Sorry to say we must reschedule our appointment and meet on Friday if it suits.
Time is such a precious commodity these days, that we may find ourselves running out of it and having to change our plans " at the last minute" or RESCHEDULE our appointments to suit the everchanging landscape we live in;-D
We may need to suggest an alternative date /time to suit our needs ...and hope others can fit in!
I can't make that day. Can we meet on Friday instead?
That won't work for me, could we meet on Friday instead?
Using either of these phrases are good ways to explain to the person that the day they have suggested/organized to do something won't work for you, but you will be available to meet on Friday instead of the day that they suggested.
Sorry to mess you around, but can we do Friday instead?
Begin with a 'please' because it is polite and you are asking them for something.
If you are talking to a friend and want to be less formal, use the 3rd sentence. The term 'mess you around' is what we say when we need to alter plans. This phrase would not be suitable for a business meeting being rearranged.
Is there a possibility that we can meet on Friday instead?
Change of plans; can we meet on Friday instead?
Both of these are correct, but they would suffice in different kinds of situations. I would suggest that you use 'Is there a possibility that we can meet on Friday instead?' in situations where it would not be a train smash/impossible for you to keep it at the original date either. It would just be more convenient for you to move the date. That is why you use the word "possibility".
If you say 'change of plans', it means that a situation has arisen where you would not be able to make the meeting on the original day and that you would have to move it.
Wanna meet up this weekend?
Sure, when is best for you?
How about Saturday? Saturday is good.
Is it okay to meet on Friday instead?
Sure, what time?
I hope that helps.
Have a great day.

Is it possible for us to meet up on Friday instead?
Can we change ur plans to Friday?
If you would like to change plans with someone, you can say something like "Can we meet up on Friday instead?". By using words like "can" or "please", this softens the conversation and makes your request to change the date sound a lot more polite.
Can I take a rain check and meet on Friday instead?
My apologies, but let's reschedule to Friday please.
1. Can I take a rain check and meet on Friday instead?
A "rain check' means that you are unable to make the suggested
date but that you are willing to meet/get together on a different day
which in this case, is Friday.
2. My apologies, but let's reschedule to Friday please.
It's always polite to first apologise because the person may
have changed their plans in order to accommodate you, and the
request for a change may actually be highly inconvenient. To
''reschedule'' means to arrange the meeting/get-together for
another day.
Notice that we can use both of the verbs, "to meet," and, "to reschedule," interchangeably but we still have to make some minor preposition changes to do so. Lastly we can also use the noun, "Friday," as the subject head of the sentence.
When you want to reschedule a meeting because the day does not suit you, you can use any of the above two questions as a way of politely asking.
Example;
A; Are we still on for Tuesday?
B; Can we meet on Friday instead?
